For every \u00a31 donated, 83p goes to the rescue service, and 17p is reinvested to generate more funds.<\/p>\n<p>Unbelievably, the RNLI receive no public money!<\/p>\n<p>It costs around \u00a3385,000 a day to run the RNLI, all of which is generously donated by the public.
