2012: The Bakehouse

2012: £854 Raised for the RNLI – A new record year!

In 2012 we painted stones on the beach and outside our holiday cottage in the Bakehouse at the bottom of Sherbourne Lane.

Our summer holiday at Lyme was three weeks so we had plenty of time to do lots of stones.

2012 was the year of The Olympics so Olympic themed stones were big sellers. We also seemed to have lots of extra foreign visitors to Lyme that year and so even some of Russell’s more obscure flags sold including a South Korean flag and a Japanese flag. However the biggest selling flag of the year was clearly the Union Jack. As a wave of support for Team GB gripped the nation, people were keen to show their support by waving a painted Union Jack stone.

Final 2017 Total: £175.00

Unfortunately, it’s the end of our holiday in Lyme Regis.

The weather hasn’t been great this year but we have still managed to raise a total of £175 from painting our pebbles.

Many thanks everyone. We might see you again later in the summer.
